Laughing soaked campers catch drips in cups and slide towels across a leaking cabin floor while counselors carry buckets and surprised parents watch the summer rain.

Parents’ Day at Camp Serenity

Camp Serenity promised visiting parents a peaceful day of nature and outdoor fun. Instead, the radio carried reports of a runaway canoe, a skunk encounter, a dishwasher buried in foam, and a broken water line spraying mud across the activity field. Then sudden rain drove everyone into a cabin whose roof had never leaked in dry weather. Counselors grabbed buckets, pots, washbasins, and towels while soaked campers moved bunks, caught drips in cups, and cheered each new leak. Parents saw disaster; the campers saw their best day of summer. After the final call, one camper changed the entrance sign from CAMP SERENITY to CAMP CALAMITY and asked whether Parents’ Day could happen again tomorrow. Use the clues to match each camper guide and counselor with the calamity and radio time.
