Elegant guests dance and enjoy afternoon tea beside flower-topped tables in a sunlit 1930s Art Deco hotel ballroom.

The Riverside Hotel Tea Dance

In 1936, five guests arrived at the Riverside Hotel for its annual afternoon tea dance. Each woman was paired with a different dance partner and seated at a table with a different floral centerpiece. When the orchestra began, every couple chose a different first dance. Unfortunately, the seating cards were shuffled while the musicians warmed up. Use the clues to match each guest with her dance partner, table centerpiece, and first dance.
