A community artist carefully restores a single weathered cedar totem pole from a rolling scaffold inside a bright Pacific Northwest workshop.

The Totem-Pole Restoration Workshop

At a Pacific Northwest cultural center, five community artists are carefully restoring five historic cedar totem poles. Each pole is crowned by a different figure, needs a different repair, and will return to a different public location when the conservation work is complete. Determine the figure atop each artist’s pole, the repair it needs, and where it will be displayed.
